It would kind of bother me as well, however if she is a wonderful Nanny overall, I would just let it go.

Because if you do actually mention that you want her to wear different clothing she may feel micromanaged & you risk losing a great Nanny which would be a shame since having a good Nanny is a huge blessing in itself.

This is exactly what I was going to say. She is representing your family when she is out with Larlo. She should dress appropriately. And I am like the other nanny who wears yoga clothes with tunics and dresses. Casual and comfortable, but not tacky.

Say something. I don’t know of any worker environment where those shirts would be considered appropriate. If she wants to be treated like a professional, she needs to dress like one.

I think the only one I'd react to is the "Sorry I'm late, I didn't want to come" tshirt. I'd look right at it, and say "Wow, you hate your job that much you need to wear that shirt to work?" I'm sorry, because we love the way you are with the baby and think you're great. And leave it at that.

But the others? Just stupid humor. I woudn't wear them to work, but I think you will be making a mountain out of a molehill if you make a big thing out of them.

in the grand scheme of things, this is a non issue. if you bring this up she is going to feel attacked and like you're trying to control her. would i wear those shirts to work? no. but maybe they're gifts from her children or grandchildren. maybe they're something she does with her friends that make her happy when she's getting dressed in the morning. i think you have two options here. bring it up, offend her, and deal with the repercussions. or you can put it in perspective and be thankful that you have someone who is great with your kid.

I believe both English and Spanish are her first language. She definitely knows what they mean. English is her primary language.
