Don't settle if you're not happy OP. There are a lot of quality nannies out there.
Same exact situation. We held onto our first nanny for two long. Our new nanny is MUCH better and I treat her as a member of the family. Just do it.

I kept my old nanny too long. I knew her downsides but kept on justifyingredients it to myself that we couldn't afford to get a higher caliber of nanny that asked for commensurate higher rates. I got a way better nanny, at $2/hrs more. But it's not a happy ending story either. When we asked her to work 40 hrs instead of 50, She raised her rates over $5. By then, my child and I had both gotten used to her. We stayed with her, but I have mixed feelings about it.
So now the new nanny is $7/hour more than than the previous one? Ouch!
