That's great to hear, OP. I didn't see this. Glad everything worked out!

I would definitely request a meeting (you ask if they're available on a specific day and time). If they are unresponsive or are unavailable, then, I would send an email expressing how much you love working with D, and then go into how your duties have doubled, and you would like a raise; do your research and include the raise amount that you are hoping for. Then, text (or on your way out the door) let them know you sent them an email (since they were unable to meet with you in a timely manner) and follow up within 2 days.

To be honest, it may be hard for them to give you a raise. If you are making $20 per hour and are working 60 hours (I hope you are getting OT which would be $30 per hr) a week they might be at the max, they're willing to pay. So, you need to think about if you are willing to search for another job (if they decline) or agree to cut back on your hours but still ask for something (maybe somewhere around $25 per hr). I think a minimum of $25 is good for 2 children and you are doing housework as well, for 2 houses- which I know is exhausting.

MB here and I also think you should look for another job. You are doing too much and not being compensated adequately. With the strained finances that often accompany divorce and the poor attitude of one parent, you will be likely given a small raise and expected to do even more. You are acting as a household manager as well as a full-time nanny and should be compensated accordingly. Best to start fresh with a new family.
