You were certainly rude by saying it the way you said it.

You could have said "I understand you're having a hard time, this must be so difficult. However, hearing all of this about [ex] is putting me in a really uncomfortable place when he shows up to pick up the kids. It may be easier/better if I don't know so much about what's going on."

MB is going through a divorce, ex-husband is having a baby with new girlfriend and wants her to watch the child, and her mom is in ICU. That's a lot of stress, but it doesn't sound like she's about to fire the nanny.

Yeah... I'd start looking for a new job. My guess is she's not gonna keep you much longer.

Start looking for a new job, OP. You are about to be fired.

She never force the ex to use me on his time.

Currently the arrangement - I watch the child 3 1/2 days a week. The girlfriend watch the child 2 1/2 days a week. Sunday MB stay full time with the child.

The ex suggested instead of paying me why not the child stay with his girlfriend when my MB go to work and MB can pick the child up in the evening. He told MB he cannot afford to pay because the girlfriend is not working and he will have new baby soon.
