I agree they need someone who will be on board. I have been on board with them to this point, we talk about his behavior very frequently and we've even all read the book 1 2 3 Magic to implement it together.
I simply can't and won't be physically and verbally abused in my job anymore, so no, I will no longer be on board. You say that like it's a bad thing.
