Oh you know a black person? Good for you.
The assumption is completely racist because it assumes that anyone who speaks a mother tongue that is not English must be illegal. It is a ridiculous and racist assumption.
Nope, we are assuming that anyone who would take a very-part-time job with low pay and a lot of duties is limited in their options either by not being legal to work in the US or because they are inexperienced or undesirable in some other profound way. But good luck, OP. Maybe you just got someone young and dumb and she will be fine until she realizes how much more she could be making.

Lol!
She'd prefer not to spend that.
Waits for the poster to tell her she can find someone reliable for $10
Wow. You are really full of yourself aren't you...that's almost $22/hr. It's one kid. How much do you think is fair? Please post so we can all laugh at you.
$100/day. Inconvenient hours and she wants a chauffeur, cook, baby sitter. OP is lazy and laziness is expensive.
Anonymous wrote:Can I hire someone who would pick up DS from daycare at 4PM, and do some light housework and cook dinner so I come home to a clean house, cooked dinner, and un-cranky toddler at 6:30? How much would something like this cost? FWIW I live right off the metro and I COULD afford to throw up to $1300/mo at this (though I'd prefer not to...but I would. I hate the witching hour that much).
