Most nannies won't want that schedule, even with full-time pay. Nanny and grandma won't be consistent about the schedule, learning, anything. It'll be starting over every two weeks.

They weren't wrong ....your baby may be cared for by two competent loving caregivers but switching things up every week is going to play havoc with the baby's schedule.


Don't worry. She found a nanny willing to work this nightmare job for a lower rate. I'm sure that the nanny is highly qualified and will do an excellent job at navigating all of the crazy antics grandma is likely to get up to. It will definitely all goes smoothly and we will not have OP back here in a few months complaining about how her baby never naps and grandma decided she only wants to do one week a month.

OP left out big details in this post. Her mother isn't local -- she plans to fly in every other week to care for the child.
