OP here. Yes, it is too much. I was widowed suddenly 2.5 yrs ago and needed to stay busy and make ends meet. It was okay up until this last month when I really feel it taking a toll. I will do it until the end of the year and then quit - get my weekends back.

OP ask yourself if a man would be twisting himself in knots over this, or would he simply ask? A raise is a raise and nothing more. It does not obligated you to do anything unless it also comes with changes to your contract. You're an at will employee, who can leave whenever and for whatever reason. Ask for your raise!
