We liked her and she was great with our child but we feared reliability issues. She also called out last minute and was late most of the days she did work. She then threatened us with small claims court because we took a day of not getting back to her about her paycheck. She emailed us apologizing and asking for a second chance. We do like her and haven't been able to find a suitable replacement. Would you rehire or keep looking?

Most nannies are good with kids, that's kind of the whole point. Responsible adult nannies offer much more than being good with kids, but they also charge more than a college sitter.
