I'm a Fed and this is what we do. If OPM says we don't work, she gets off. If it's a 2 hour delay, I let her get here a bit later. She lives 25 minutes away not including traffic and wouldn't want her to get into an accident. I usually will choose to telework on those days. On the days we get early dismissal (eg, 2 hours off for Friday before Xmas), I usually give her at least an hour early departure. I may run a quick errand before heading home.
