My kids are 9 and 12 and they do these things.
As did mine. What is wrong with people who do not teach their children to take care of themselves? God help our future that will be populated with totally helpless adults!
I'm, I didn't do grocery shopping until I graduated college. As a matter of fact when my mom visits me she does my laundry. I'm far from helpless. Kids don't need to grocery shop. I have a housekeeper that does that. You need to have DRIVER to get the groceries home. If I have to drive the kids myself, that doesn't help me and my time constraints. This isn't an learning opportunity, I have a housekeeper to make better use of MY time as a not so helpless full time working professional.
