Some nannies aren't lazy and care about the health of their charge. Its sad you're fine being a mediocre nanny.
I'm not lazy nor am I mediocre.. Parents want me to make food yes I can for an additional charge. Nothing's free when child naps that's my free time, making food cuts into my free time to use the restroom, eat my lunch or hell sit down and take a breath. The baby food organic pouches are just as good as making food there's no difference in the two
I think a 30-minute break is totally reasonable, but if the child is young enough to be eating purees, then you have way more naptime than that and should be doing something productive for at least part of it. This is why we think you are lazy and mediocre.

I also won't work for people who use store bought food, so it is just normal to make the food.
Really it's not that hard. Takes some prep, especially with new foods, so you don't accidently mix foods until they have had them.
Good old food processor, pot and steamer basket.
Lots of ice cube trays and baggies for frozen cubes.
