Have you never looked for a new job? No intelligence person voluntarily quits their current position until you get a new one lined up!

Exactly this! She wasn't looking to screw over her previous employers. Like most people, including office workers, she would have waited until she had an offer letter before giving notice to her current employers. This is literally how the world works

Could this be true if it was done in writing?

Anyone? There must be some lawyer parents on this forum.

Most of these awful agencies are like dealing with an enemy. Always beware.

This is why I don't use agencies. I said the same thing years ago to an agency. All my info and my references info was sent out that day to all their clients.

Wow. They shouldn't be doing that nonsense unless the nanny is interested in a specific job.

That's SO disrespectful not only to the nanny, but to all of her references who don't have time to be needlessly bothered. Unbelievable.

Name the agency please, otherwise this looks like more anti-agency trolling.

-A former nanny (NOT FROM AN AGENCY)

Sure.

You do know agencies, even the top APNA ones require info of your current position, they say they will not contact current employer without consent. Again do not trust any agency that will say they will not contact current boss because almost 100% they will do it. Here is another fact, if your employer contacts an agency and starts looking to replace the nanny guess what that agency will never contact that nanny and inform them of this. Agencies are never loyal to nannies, you are what they sale, they will never have your back even if you are the best nanny ever they are not loyal to you ever.

Unfortunate, but 100% right in every way. This is exactly why the best nannies no longer use agencies. Word of mouth jobs from trusted former employers are usually the best jobs.
