So if you are reliable, show up on time and take good care of her child, you still may have a shot at the job.
Sounds like she might of had a change of mind/heart.

Do not get too excited however because she also may just be using you until she hires another nanny.

It could go either way.

I certainly hope it goes in your favor however.

Obviously reliability is huge. I give 100% reliability in my positions but this one I couldn't. I had to have an emergency surgery that was out of my control. If If I didn't have surgery, I would of worked last week. I already said I have another job lined up and do not want to more forward with them. I do understand her reasonings for rescinding the offer but it's still rude to have a conversation about me on the phone when I'm only 10ft away.


Eh. She was in her OWN HOME. It's YOUR workplace, NOT hers.

If you can swing it financially, please don't go back another day. People shouldn't treat other people the way your MB is treating you. You're also being way to hard on yourself for missing work due to an emergency surgery.

Sometimes I wish nannies would out their horrible bosses on these boards.

She was not on speaker phone but she was maybe all of 10ft away from me ( a book shelf) was separating us. The other speaker was very loud and I heard the entire conversation.
