Also side note these kids are usually the nicest, most polite, thoughtful, gracious kids ever who appreciate everything you do for them or buy for them. Unlike the brats of "rich" parents who don't even acknowledge you got them anything for their birthday because it wasn't as memorable as their $200 lego sets.

Then why charge her anything at all? Start a charity and work for free. That'd be great. But don't excuse someone trying to hire another person (who is also worthy of your compassion) at illegally low rates. It's bad for the industry in general and feeds the idea that you don't have to pay for quality childcare. Nannies are not charity workers. They are employees working for a living, and your personal issues should not be her weight to bear.

If it were a live in position it would have been mentioned. And even if it were, it's still a shameful rate she's offering and she has no business trying to hire someone. Her selfish ass needs to find a daycare she can afford and stop trying to impoverish someone else. When I first started out nannying I interviewed with people like this, offering barely legal rates. They always wanted someone who would also "help out around the house" and "be like family." Ridiculous.

You took the time to click on someone's add, judge them for it, copy it here, and then sat back and waited for others to be judgmental ass****s too, when all you had to do was scroll past it.
Nice use of time, no wonder you are looking for a job.

Hmm. We're judgemental assholes for taking offense to someone offering illegal wages? What she is trying to do is illegal. Would you be as understanding if she stole from you because she's a single mom? That's what she's trying to do. She's planning to steal wages her future nanny is entitled to by law.

Who the hell cares? This affects you personally in NO WAY. Posting it here is just mean spirited and serves no purpose but to insult this woman.

I'm sick of these "Can you believe this job" posts and the vitriol that they are trying to stir up. No, this woman can not afford a nanny (though from the representation here why would she want to?). Posting anonymous insults here does nothing to change her situation or the situation of any other family looking for a nanny who can not pay for one. You all just want to bash any poor jerk who would dare to make the grave mistake of thinking they can have a nanny when they should probably just be happy with a warm body who can keep their kids alive (I mean WHY did they have kids if they can't afford them, right?!?!).

So remind me, what purpose does it serve to "discuss" this for the 100th time?

You took the time to post this reply instead of just scrolling past? Nice use of time.

+ 1. I find it pretty pathetic behavior. Doesn't OP have anything to do with her life? She sounds like an immature child who gets all worked up over situations the don't even concern her. She a problem starter. Grow up and stop posting these ads. No one cares!

Do you have the same attitude about protecting the feelings of other people that commit crimes? Your attitude is part of the problem. Everyone weeps for the low income single mom, and no one gives a shit about the brown woman she'll hire who will need subsidies herself despite working 50 freaking hours a week. Maybe you don't care, but obviously some of us nannies do. Feel free to not open the thread if it bothers you that much.
