right, because everyone has their employer's number memorized.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I can not imagine under any circumstances that I would not notify my employer that I would not be in at the time I was supposed to be there. Unless both my husband and I were knocked unconscious for HOURS. But still, I'd be calling/email my boss immediately after I called a family member. A short, message " In a bad car accident, will call later with an update." If I couldn't do it - my husband would.
She's had three occasions where she didn't show up for work on time without a notification - most for hours at a time. I'd be getting a new nanny. Oversleeping till10am is terrible.
I agree somethings not adding up with this nanny. I'm sure the hospital had a phone she could've used or she could've had a relative/friend contact them. If I were OP I would've been started looking for a new nanny.

Was in a bad car accident and taken to hospital. Have the note from the ER and a copy of the police report of the accident.
She was in a bad car crash, and she brings you an ER note? You're a piece of work, op. And a joke.
On the contrary, I have, but no note since I was in school.
No "proof" needed if I'm out sick.
If you just didn't show up to work, didn't call, didn't contact the family when you were late ... You assume you'd have a job waiting for you? What this nanny did showed a lot of integrity.
