Yes this sounds familiar. I would tell them no everytime they ask. Why should you go to restaurants with them looool sounds weird.

Regardless of whether the parents are lazy or not, I don't think you should stay in a job in which you feel so much anger/animosity towards your bosses. Especially when the job is such a personal one. It's not fair to you or your bosses.

Yep they sound lazy. Try to forget about it though and just determine what hours you would like to work. Tell them no to weekends, that you have prior commitments. If you are willing to come early or stay late on a weekday or 2, name your price. Your extra time is worth $. You decide how much- double? triple? , and then can decide how much their laziness is worth to them.

I cannot stand parents who do this and yes, I have seen this.

People who cannot do this or that without that (your) extra set of hands.

Just because they can afford to pay for this luxury makes them think it is okay to use it....Again and again!

These parents are very privileged and it affects their parenting ways.

Having been a single mother to two kids myself, this would irk me too.

Not to mention they overwork you.

They view you as their safety net it seems.

I feel worse for their kids.....
