I did empty the dishwasher, and put in all the dishes I'd dirtied with the kids today. I left MB and DBs dirty dishes in the sink. I've said nothing. I will consider bringing this up separately but even if I don't mention it specifically I'm going to discuss in greater detail things I will and won't do (like not doing dishes dirtied when I'm off duty and not staying ten mins late every day without compensation, etc).

Your anniversary is the perfect time to talk about what is and is not working, what the future expectations are, etc. Be positive about the overall work experience and also bring up possible changes that they are looking for regarding your job requirements.

I think a lot depends on the overall job experience. I was with a family for 4 years and after a couple years, there were often dinner dishes from the night before in the sink when I arrived. However, they were also extremely flexible with me and we had a good give and take relationship. The dishes weren't enough of a hassle for me to say anything. Plus, there were also days when I arrived and the dishwasher had already been emptied (which was one of my specified duties). I felt like it all evened out.

yes we can do it but its bugs us! just pay extra dollar if you want your nannies to do the dishes.
