Why do you think you are entitled to 2 weeks of vacation for only 6 months of work? Maybe if you had made it to 1 year, but you weren't meeting their childs needs and they moved on, so you arent owed anything.
1 week of vacation and 1 PTO day is reasonable. PP, how do you know that they aren't switching to daycare due to finances or something else which the nanny wouldn't be able to control or foresee?
Doesn't matter, no matter the situation the nanny doesn't automatically get owed weeks of vacation and time off just for getting hired.
The nanny worked 6 months. Why she is being let go is irrelevant. She earned 1 week of vacation and 1 PTO day. If the family doesn't want her to use them, they need to pay them out. However, the nanny was foolish enough to not get a contract. Without a contract, nothing is enforceable, so the likelihood is low that she will get anything.
