You have given her two weeks to find a job and she moved on what also need to be done? I don't understand why I personally see her at the park.I'm in a group message I follow everything. she was doing a great job. with your KIDS honestly she's a handful but she does her best to make sure the kids having fun. One of the nannys requirement to love your kids before they love their job. Correct me if I'm wrong. if they don't love you kids they don't enjoy the work as simple as that. so you have a problem with that sounds like. I give you zero points on that .Not sure that was wrong I don't believe that was fair. You sugar Coated you feeling everything but we know how much you like her You have told us i heard about it and she's very professional with her job. I'm not sure how you find her neighborhood or agency they know this woman how well experience she has. In fact if you can refer to me I'm happy to talk to her. My friend she just had a baby. PS we seen her at the park almost every day. I think that's great to have a nanny like that.Anonymous wrote:You have to give her support until she's get a new job.
Anonymous wrote:If your nanny is any good she most likely turned down other temporary jobs to take yours - and now she is being short-changed. How would you feel if the reverse happened, OP, and she left you a month early when a better paying job came along?

Anonymous wrote:We hired an interim nanny until our expected daycare spot opening in December. It's been six weeks and we unexpectedly got the call that a spot opened and we need to take it or lose it. Another spot may not be available in December anymore, so we have decided to take the available spot. Our baby girl is set to start next Monday. We are sad to lose a great nanny and unsure of how to tell her. We will give her a great recommendation letter but do we tell her tomorrow or Friday? Our contract says a weeks severance but do we pay for the vacation week she was supposed to have off for Thanksgiving, too? We feel terrible and hope she understands this. We want to do what's right by her. Any advice is kindly appreciated

We found out yesterday about the daycare spot but wanted to wait until today ( she was off yesterday) to tell her in person.
I don't think we are crappy prople and don't get all the hate. We hired an interim nanny, found out our daycare spot is available sooner, and we plan to pay severance and vacation
( close to $3,000). It sucks it ending sooner but such is life.
$3000 isn't that great.
Interim or not this time of year is difficult to find a job,
Hope you love the new daycare as much as you think you will!

Creepy you really need to get help going out of the line. you can't even afford to pay any extra you know that right? This show is all about the money rememberAnonymous wrote:I would definitely pay her the thanksgiving week, as well as the one week severance.
It won't hurt you much financially since you were going to pay it anyway, and it would be a help to her since you're not keeping to the arrangement you set up.

Anonymous wrote:3 weeks pay is great op! This is about the time it takes to find a new job. It can be tricky to find a job this time of the year though. Jan start would have been ideal.
Anonymous wrote:OP here. We hired her as an interim nanny until our desired daycare had a spot. We were very upfront and she knows we are on the wait list. We were told we would get a spot first week of December but found out today there is a spot open and it's ours. We didn't anticipate an opening so soon.
We like her and are not trying to mess her over. We were thinking of two weeks severance and a week vacation. We would give a review on the nanny site and a recommendation letter.
