She was very very close to the kids so this was a gift she treasured. It took me 1 month to create but so worth it! You can also do a SpeakSake (google). Where you have the kids and you record what you love about her and she is able to have as a memory.
since she is living rent free for a few months, the gift doesn't need to be expensive, but should show your appreciation for her.
Ugh. Sorry, if my job is ending, no matter how much I love the kids, I don't consider some pictures of your kids a bonus or a gift, no matter how much time you put into it. I have to move on with my life, I don't need albums from each family, thanks.

Anonymous wrote:OP, cash is always appreciated. Gift cards to places like Target too. I don't know how much you want to spend, but here are some ideas if you'd rather do more of a gift:
-set of wine glasses and a bottle or two of wine
-varieties of coffee, regular mugs/travel mugs, biscotti
-good mixing bowls and a cookbook or two
-Laundry basket with cleaning supplies (I realize some people might hate this idea, but I'm a practical gift kind of girl so I'd love something like this. Know your audience)
If you like any of the ideas, I can offer up more specific options.

She lived with us the whole time and we paid her on the higher end of the spectrum. Last week was her last week and she'll be living for free with us until January when she moves in with her boyfriend.
She doesn't help with anything but childcare.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Why is the bolded relevant? Makes you sound petty.
