If her hours are 8a.m. to 6 pm, then they need to be home by 6 pm. If they want a report then they get home at 5:45 pm. 1p
10 hour day is a looooong time and I would be out the door at 6 pm on the dot.

I'm paid through a payroll service they alway forget to update my pay. I also write down my hours which they never check. I don't mind staying, working, helping I'd just like to be paid for my time. I feel bad for asking for advice here and being harped on. I work just like everyone else I just want to be paid fairly.

I think people are being too hard on OP. It is kind of weird to sit in the car like that, and could be an issue of the kids seeing them and getting excited but then upset when they don't come in. Also, if they don't walk in the door till 6, they are almost certainly expecting her to wait while they put their things away, take shoes off, say hi to the kids, have her debrief them on the day's events, etc... all of which eats into OP's time. Yes, I'm assuming, but I'm assuming based on many, many online threads as well as my own experience from nannying and babysitting for the past 20 years.
