I have the reverse issue. More than 50% of families don't want to pay taxes, so they either try to force me into agreeing to a 1099 (not going to happen!) or I shut down the phone call. Either way, it's a waste of time. My profile and applications clearly state that I only take positions on the books, with a contract, and with clear communication with the parents a minimum of every two weeks.

I agree, but no one is going to prison for paying a domestic worker off the books. Half of Washington is doing it, the half not looking for a high up appointment.

Wait it out, eventually you will find a nanny who will be willing to accept legal payment.
