As a live-in nanny, the questions asked are usually about needing to bring children/visit them (why would anyone want a nanny who would be willing to move into their home and not see her own children for up to 6 months at a time?!), how late I stay out, whether I go to bars, whether I am married or dating anyone, etc. As soon as a family starts asking these questions, which I consider personal and intrusive, I cut them off, explain that I am single with no children and can't stand bars. I don't answer whether I am dating or will be dating, as that is none of their business. Nor is the time I return to the house their business, as long as I don't wake anyone and am well rested for the following day.
