Yes, anyone can create a nanny profile, but if a nanny has ten plus reviews from parents on there and a completed background check that's a heck of a lot better than a craigslist rando.

This statement is SO true.

Why so?? Because anyone w/computer access can create a free profile and simply "claim" they are a nanny. It's the parents who have to pay to view these profiles, but I don't get the logic since they are essentially paying to view information that could be false or embellished.

My pet bunny can create a profile, label himself a "professional nanny," and since creating the profile is completely free and thus unregulated by anyone, BOOM (!!) there is your new nanny!

Either/Or.

I don't mind going to prospective families home nor do I mind meeting at a public place either.

However if safety is a top priority, it probably makes the best sense to meet at a park/playground.
