Agreed. My MB is honestly one of the laziest filthiest people I have ever met, and I have seen her tell some of the biggest bold faced lies. It really makes it hard to come to work with a smile when the woman makes my skin crawl.

That is easy for you to say on your side of things. By nature many nannies are pleasers, first of all. Second, we have very little recourse for setting boundaries with an unreasonable employer. My employer could demand a 6 course meal for dinner tonight, I say no as I should, and tomorrow I'm unemployed, down a reference, and they're doing everything they can to block unemployment. Sometimes we have no realistic option aside from saying "yes (for now)". How about employers try be conscientious of the power dynamic and try not to be abusive with it.

To all these people just saying "Just say NO." It's not always that easy. Some people are assholes and make it tough. My last MB would get very huffy if I didn't want the extra hours.

I have special chime for when my MB texts. I dread checking my messages so much. We will busy at an activity and she will send long texts about different dates she wants me to work or extra things she wants done. I can handle that but I cannot handle when she sends it twice. She'll text...not sure if you saw this text then send it again. For the love of God lady we're in class or at the pool. Ugh she'll sometimes text me super early in the morning to see I can swing into Dunkin. Hell no.

Not PP but it is impossible to prepare food for your charge in a filthy kitchen with dishes piles in the sink.

When I was single I had a roommate who never washed dishes and just piled them on the sink, which I hate. I got tired of this and I would just pile them up on the counter for her to do later on. This is what you,should do
Clean sink and you can prepare food for charges. Or, just tell her that you will no longer be her maid.

I don't blame you one iota for feeling the way you do about your bosses OP.

They sound very entitled to me, like the world evolves around them 24/7. These types make me sick.

Also, they tend to think that if they can just pay someone to do something then they should and that is okay. Ha!! What a joke.

They obviously see you as nothing but their servant + do not value you as a person.
