A lot of parents are listening to uneducated celebrities ( cough..JC..cough) while throwing out actual science from people who are very educated on the topic. This is leading to the outbreak of measles and whopping cough. I am hardcore pro-vax. I think people are idiotic for not vaccinating but I have no right to tell them how they should raise their child. I think it's important pediatricians and classes banned all unvaccinated children.

I think it's important pediatricians and classes ban all parents who think they have anything to do with someone else's life.
The minute your ignorant decision puts my child in danger, it is no longer just your life. Keep your kid at home if you can't bother to follow basic safety practices. I can't believe this is even an issue.

My sister is a physician in Chicago. Her clinic turns away the unvaccinated. She said a few daycares and classes in her area are no longer allow unvaccinated children due to an outbreak about a year back.
I am not making any of this up. I asked and even apologized incase I offended them. The mom was smiling and said I didn't. This is not about my choice or outlook on vaccines.
So you're stating you can't bring babies under 1 to any of these places? I find that hard to believe.
Babies under 1 year of age are not completely unvaccinated. They start getting their vaccinations when they are born in the hospital. Why do you think they have all of those appointments from birth to 12 months old. I believe in vaccinations but have also seen some kids have very bad reactions, so do understand why people delay or do the alternative schedule.

I've never encountered a class that asked about vaccination status (DC is mostly up to date - we missed a visit due to overseas travel and are working on getting caught up) and frankly, I don't know if I am or not. I don't understand why people feel so strongly about this.

This is why people care. Anti-vaxxers are actually killing people based on science that was completely debunked and fraudulent.
Vaccines work based on herd immunity, and vaccinating the healthy protects those who are unable to be vaccinated like very small babies or the imunocompromised. I should not have to be afraid of taking my 6 month old to a class because you (not you specifically, PP) have decided to bring your unvaccinated 3 year old who may be carrying the measles virus to the same place. There should be a reasonable expectation of safety in places that are frequented by young children (parks, music classes, story-time, etc) and part of that safety includes reducing the risk of spreading deadly diseases by being intelligent/responsible and vaccinating your children appropriately.

When I was interviewing about 2 1/2 years ago I started including this question in my interviews. I'm in California and we have a lot of anti vaccination people here. I personally believe in vaccinations strongly and don't feel comfortable taking a babies and toddlers who have had no vaccinations out and about all over so I think this is one of those things that I need to agree with my NF about.
