I get that. I was asking if I should wait or just walk away? I did like them but I felt blindsided about the nanny share.
I wouldn't put your job search on a hold for this family. Keep looking and if they happen to come back to you while you're still available, that's great, but at this point it seems rather unlikely because what they want is not what you want.
