I live with my family and we are VERY comfortable and loving with one another.
When I leave for the weekends, mom will text or kiddos will to say hey. I do the same.
If kids go to their fathers over the weekends (they are divorced) I will text dad and see how they are.
Or sometimes I miss them and want to say hi!
I still keep in touch with old families I worked with.
It depends on the nanny . Some check out and don't want to bother the family others like me, just are more comfortable and don't mind.
Do't stress about it!
Do't stress about it! Anonymous wrote:Yes. My nanny used to text over the weekend. Not only illnesses, but of we were doing something fun like going to an airshow, wanting to know if the kids enjoyed it. She is very much so like an aunt, she's well past employee status.
I think some moms are insecure about this because they are afraid of how close their nanny is to their children. I'm just happy we have a nanny who loves our kids so much.

Don't you have your own life to live on the weekends? Have you nothing better to do than text MB?
