If you wouldn't mind sharing what you pay your nanny for a nanny share for two infants, and the qualifications that they have, I would greatly appreciate it. We are seeing things all over the board and want to make sure we are offering adequate compensation.

We are requiring the nanny to be CPR certified, speak fluent English (another language is great as well but not required), have previous experience watching two infants, keep a basic daily log (bodily functions, eating, sleeping), and be willing to take the kids out on walks and to activities. We hope to find someone who can teach the babies some basic sign language. We are offering 2 weeks paid vacation, all federal holidays off, and 5 days paid sick leave. We will be paying on the books.

Thank you!

For what you want. $30/hr minimum for your kid.

We've had all that for $19/hr, $9.50 per family. Upper NW DC. What you're asking for is quite standard in terms of nanny qualifications.

You've examined pay stubs or other verifiable information?
No, you haven't, Einstein. Don't be silly.

I've examined the paystub our nanny has and it says $9.50/hr on it.

I would think $22 is fair, and I am a MB.

We did a share for one year several years ago, and it was $20.

Oh, please stop the ridiculous name-calling.

We pay 15 an hour in our share, OP - so a total of $30 for the nanny (who is wonderful).
