Yea that's not "lying", that's like some serious mental instability and psychotic issues, probably from actual abuse.


+1 a child detailing abuse to a degree that someone is put in jail is being abused by someone.

A child saying something they know isn't true is not exactly lying. They're learning to use their imagination and learning what is imagining or dreaming (BIG one, kids can easily think a dream was real) is part of the process.

So the preschool teacher never hears little ones make imaginary stories? Which is what it is, btw. It's a huge part of development. Weaving stories together using real and imagined imagery is y favorite thing 2-4 year olds do
