To answer OPs question, you can certainly add another feeding. I would do one in the am and one in the evening tho. By 9 months, baby should be eating 3 solids a day. Primary source of nutrition is still milk so make sure she's still taking in her normal amount of milk.
And again, overweight is not the same as overfed.
