I also gave her half of what I would normally pay her for the day. She still seemed pretty peeved. I understand her annoyance, it was an honest mistake though. Besides remembering to call, is there anything I could have done better or differently?

She said that because she is obviously a nice person. I say things like that too but I would still expect you to pay me. It is okay to make mistakes and she acknowledged that by telling you it was okay. Now pay her or you will be back very soon moaning about lazy babysitters quitting on you.
