Honestly we follow the Federal govt. If the feds are closed she gets paid and doesn't come in. If the feds delayed, she is too. If the feds liberal leave I let her decide, come in or stay home and use PTO. I don't work for the Feds myself but feel this is a fair and objective standard to yous. The feds closed at noon, so she should be paid IMO.

Why would you pay her? If I can’t get to work and don’t work, then I don’t get paid. Why should the nanny get paid because there is a snow storm but we don’t. It is not about being cheap it is work life reality. It isn’t docking pay, it is unpaid leave.

I sent my nanny home at noon. She takes the bus. I am paying her (she has guaranteed hours).
