You should have hired a nanny with a triple digit IQ. Such warning would not be necessary.

I had a charge (twins at the time) who would not sleep for about a week unless he was being held. A carrier was the only thing that enabled me to do my job!

It's often not about intimacy and more about practicality. Mothers who have spent any significant amount of time with their new babies would know this.

I not an MB but Im a nanny who works with infants. I've worked on third story walk-ups and single-story homes. I've never had a family have a problem with me wearing the baby. I generally wear the baby the first few months but transition to a stroller once the baby is 5 or 6 months and easier to use a stroller.

Just ask here.
I wouldn't have an issue with a nanny wanting to use the carrier to get through the day.
I might raise an eyebrow at a nanny that wanted to "wear" my baby.

Wearing comes with a connotation I wouldn't be comfortable with.
