Getting a stroller in & out of our place has never been particularly practical. I always show a new caregiver our stroller & carrier options and let her know which one I find easier but I leave it up to her what to use during the day.
I just ask that she not have hot beverages while wearing the baby or pushing the stroller - risk of burns, etc. We stock coffee in our kitchen and she's free to make herself a cup during nap time, or she can have an iced coffee or iced chai at any time during the day.
You should have hired a nanny with a triple digit IQ. Such warning would not be necessary.
