We pay her very well and she told us how happy she was with us. We feel slightly betrayed.
How did you find her?
Sittercity.com
Success stories from them and care.com are uncommon. I'm sorry.
I found three great jobs on care.com - two part-time and my current full-time position (have been there for over a year). All great families, all high paying jobs. [/quote
How much is high paying? Where?
My current position is in Falls Church at $20 and hour (started at $19) paid legally with overtime and benefits.
From care.com that's unheard of. What range did they advertise?
NP, I have been using care.com for years, my current family was found there and they are the best family I have worked with so far in the last decade. The pay is $25/hr but I don't remember if they advertised that on care.com or not.

Because people can just will themselves to never get sick more than 1 day a month. Smart.
I said allow it to accrue 1 day per month. That's 6 days per year and generous. Ideally a nanny doesn't need to take a sick day once per month.
I think 1 per month is 12 a year hun, not 6
