I am still with them actually. They're great bosses generally, just the kind who will milk a deal if possible. I gave them a nice bottle of wine, and some homemade cookies, and some gifts for the children of course.

Would an employee offer his/her boss in any other profession a few free hours of labor just because it's Christmas....??! Didn't think so.
I never give my bosses anything for Christmas.
I believe in gifting down, not up.

Stop posting on every fucking post saying this and also, learn to spell before you try and be a dumbass.

And let them deal with the stomach upset aftermath!
I tried cooking chicken for the first time for my charge (having never cooked chicken outside of a toaster over or microwave) and he was sick for days. Thank god I didn't eat any!

You can write a card and add a homemade coupon for a free evening of babysitting for instance.
If you do this, be sure to do an hourly cap for the "free" part of it. I made the mistake of just saying "free evening" and my MB tried to schedule a freakin overnight.
So? How stuck up can you be! Its a gift and it's not costing you a thing. Just sleep there for G**s sake!
Stuck up? It is costing me something. Time. Time away from my own family and home. Time which is usually valued at $20/hour. It was a gift and she tried to take advantage. You think it is appropriate to accept a gift from your employee valued at a couple hundred dollars? Any other time I've sat for her, she books around 3 hours. Now she has a free sitting coupon and she wants 12, in addition to the 10 hour day I already worked. I hope you're a troll, and not someone who honestly can't see who is wrong here.
Actually, you're the troll since we all know that your MB didn't do that. You're making it up.
