I wouldn't give a bonus to a nanny who had only been with us for a few months. I would, however, give a nice gift. Considering neither DH nor I have received bonuses in years, any nanny who thinks working a few months entitles her to one can take that attitude to another family.

If the nanny had been employed a year or more, than a week's salary would be appropriate.

We've had our nanny since mid-September and are planning to do more than 50% but less than 100% of one week's pay ($500 when she makes almost $800/wk).

Another with a relatively new part-time nanny.

One child.
Current pay about $400 per week.
Not sure what her pay/hours are at other family.

Was planning to check on here.

Had in mind to give a week of pay bonus.

A week is good bonus .

More than that isn't typical unless you he family is very wealthy, the nanny has a uniquely challenging job or has been with the family a long time.

Let's be honest a little extra money is always good.

With my current family I started 6 weeks before Christmas, and they gave me a 50% bonus.
