Pp you don't need to justify anything. You can fire for any reason what so ever. Years ago I replaced a nanny who was fired for sending a young child to bed with miss matched pajamas.
That must have been an exciting position.
It lasted 6 weeks ! The 4 yr old informed me about the pajamas. " make sure I wear matching pajamas or mommy will fire you " oh the things you wish you knew before starting a job.

Second has been with us almost 5 years.
So because of one little mistake, made outside of work hours, you ruin her life by also making her lose her job? You are a peach.
absolutely. over-drinking and driving = poor judgment and dangerous

Nanny 1 was part time when we had one child. Stayed about a year (but took a three-month vacation in there) and left to pursue a job in her degree field.
Nanny 2 was with us for a year and a half, and then left to become a SAHM.
Nanny 3 come on board right after DC #3 was born, and was with us for a year until we moved out of state.
Nanny 4 just started with us in our new home state, and I'm hopeful she'll be able to stay on for awhile (we have one more child due soon).

Anonymous wrote:Oh please, I'm a nanny and I drive my charges. If I got a DUI I would expect to be let go. It's not one little mistake. Where's your common sense? Would you let your own children drive with someone who has been charged with DUI? The nanny family didn't ruin her life, the nanny ruined her own life.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:2.
