You are a nanny that would take paid side jobs while on the job caring for your full time charge? Wow. Not very professional.

Calm down, officer. I think this poster was just saying to reply with the above comment to let the mom know that she won't care for her kid for free.

I think you meant that she won't watch someone else's kid while caring for her full time charge.

Waving money in your face to get you to do something while you are at work doesn't make it kosher. In fact, it introduces an even larger conflict, where you start putting your pocket book above the needs of your full time job and chld you care for. What's next? Drive an uber taxi around with your charge strapped in? Take part time after school care, not for free of course...

I have never had anyone do that to me.
I have had plenty of playdates where I have invited a child over, or where my child was invited somewhere else. I have never had another Mom blatantly suggest their kid come to my house.

I am not the op but I have had this happen to me. It goes something like this: I have a drs appointment at 10am on Tuesday do you mind if larla comes over for a play date from 9:30-11:30 on Tuesday ? Thanks your the best. Or my fav I just got called into work can you watch larla for a few hrs. All this while standing at the front door. My typical response is I have to ask my boss. I've had a few say to me oh I already called your boss. Um ya thanks . And no they don't pay for these play dates or babysitting sessions.
