Do you have a nearby neighbor who can step in for an hour or so just for that day so she can vote?
Where I live in, CA., we have the option of mail-in ballots...I am not sure if your State has this option and if so, if it is too late to do it.
I know you hate asking your Mother for assistance, but to keep the peace this one time, you may have to ask her.
Because if you do not, it sounds like the nanny will resent you for this and no one wants a resentful nanny watching their kids, right??
Unfair, I know but that is how it is unfortunately.
She only has to take 1 child with her. She's already agreed to do it. I can't ask my mom to take off an entire day of work so the nanny can have an hour off (mom can't take just an hour off - someone has to come in to replace her and won't for just an hour). My mom helps her out all the time but this isn't really reasonable. If I had a neighbor to help out for an hour I absolutely would but we don't live in a neighborhood and only have 1 neighbor who definitely can't babysit. If I had a babysitter I could ask I would do that too but does anyone know a babysitter who will work for just 1 hour?
