NF & I agreed that I have off (paid) for all holidays that they have off which, is a lot for me since MB is a teacher. But, previously I had off for the 6 major federal holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

I pay for all Federal holidays that I get off (which is all of them except for Veteran's Day). Nanny also gets the day after Thanksgiving paid, since I have the day off.

Nanny tends to have a lot more time off around Christmas -- usually it ends up being about 7 days between Christmas and New Years, depending on where they land during the week -- but Christmas Eve, Christmas, NYE, New Year's are a given.

But I will caveat all of this to say that I think my nanny gets more paid time off than the norm.

We pay for all the federal holidays that I (mom) have off - which is ten days, one of which is the day after Thanksgiving in lieu of Veteran's Day. We also usually send her home early on the day before Thanksgiving, New Year's eve, and a few other days off or partial if we have family in around the holidays.
