OP here, some of you need to improve your reading comprehension skills. I am asking for pay for what I have already worked.

OP is not asking to be paid for hours OP has not worked. OP is asking to be paid early because OP will be on vacation on OP's usual payday. Stop assuming OP is irresponsible and doesn't manage money well. If it is too much trouble for the family OP works for to cut OP a check, they should set up direct deposit and OP wouldn't have to worry about being paid while on vacation.

You can ask, given that you're long tenured.

I don't think it's a great idea but with two years in hopefully it won't matter.

In general no one gets paid for work (or time) they haven't put in yet. And someone whose financial status is so precarious that they need work arounds for the routine pay schedule doesn't come across as tremendously professional or together.

But, as I said, probably not a huge issue (hopefully).
