I am 2:49 and this OP is definitely not an MB. I not only respect myself, I respect the real people who come on here and honestly ask authentic questions. For those people, I'm happy to research and give thoughtful feedback to help them.

Exactly. Certain working mothers (and agencies for that matter), wish to create an artificially low "standard" or so-called market rate, just so they can maximize their ability to think they can afford a nanny.

What you generally get for less than $20/hr is a babysitter, not a professional nanny who knows how to do her job. A sitter will keep you busy micro-managing her day. You don't do that with a nanny.
