I don't know any adults who care about that sort of thing anymore. Except asinine OP. Good luck to her.

Seriously, stop. You are embarrassing yourself. Op asked three simple questions.

And trust me ALL ADULTS care that that nannies are not late, do not act like moody teenage girls and are not texting or talking on their phones all day.

Trust me. DCUM wouldn't much survive so well without much of downtown DC, taking a few moments of "personal time" every "now and then." You should really come down off your high horse. You're fooling no one.

So... do I win something?!

Perhaps a $10/hr job offer from OP.

Wow - what is your problem, PP? Why are you so offended and defensive?

I honestly don't even have a goal to never be late. I do try to never be late if I can help it, and to have a damn good excuse the rare times it does happen.

I also work more to control my disposition then my mood. If I am having a hard day I won't bring it up or act pitiful. However, there are days when MB just can tell I am less chipper. Whether she would ever learn why depends on the reason. However, she will never be made to feel burdened by my personal problem.

Complaints about texting are really about neglect. If a nanny texts a couple times in the day but is otherwise working her ass off, handling her job like a boss, then parents aren't on here complaining about it.... I hope... So I do text. Often while folding the towels MB didn't get to last night even though it ain't my job.

Kudos to you OP for being 100%. I am something closer to human myself.

While I generally agree with you - things happen - there is a huge difference between someone who is late once due to a jumper and someone who is habitually late. And no employee in any business should be moody or bring their problems to work with them in any field.
And the one thing most parents complain about is seeing nannies walking down the street pushing their children in strollers and talking on their phone or texting at the park or pool.

While OP is asking absolutes, I do think I understand what she is getting at. Of course, I would have no issue with a nanny who texted or called someone during her lunch or making a quick doctor's or dentist appointment for herself but I do hate seeing nannies constantly on their phones when they are with children.

I've never been late. I try to arrive in a good mood sometimes that good mood fades once I start working lol. I text and talk on the phone mostly at nap time but sometimes at the park when the kids are playing with friends.

So so far, only two nannies can answer yes to these three questions and one MB who answered yes to the first two and an I don't know for the third.

You may answer however you like, OP.

I'm not answering, PP, I am tallying the answers to the three questions I asked. Did I count wrong?

If the price is right, you can most certainly find almost anything you want. Can you afford to go there?

Do you actually think that arriving to work on time every day and being in a good, professional mood and not making personal phone calls during work hours are the province of an exclusive, high-priced nanny only?! Seriously, is that what you think?

I work 7am-6pm m-f which is only time most places like a doctor is open. It's unreasonable to ask that your nanny never uses the phone to make calls while on duty. I bet you're allowed to make personal calls/texts at work (actually if you're /callingtexting your nanny from work you're doing exactly what you don't want her to do) I bet you also call doctors etc.

Op are you ever late getting home to relieve your nanny? Do you always put on a happy face when walking in the door? Do you use your phone while at home with your kids? I'd ask if you use it at work but you obviously do if your nanny is texting/calling you

Not OP but when an MB walks in her door - she is HOME. She can text or call anyone she wants as she isn't working and actually doesn't need to come home in a good mood. A better question is does MB ever mad any personal calls from her work and does she show up to her office in a seemingly good mood and is never late for her job.

You think that's an acceptable excuse for your nastiness? I don't.
Do you regard your spouse in the same manner? I hope not.

Honestly that is not your business. MB d
oesn't have the right to ask how you are when you go home. And a nanny is not a spouse.
BTW - I am a nanny.

You're a wanna be nanny. We got your number.

Please stop your nonsense. You are so pathetically wrong.
