This is ridiculous but was this what the "comb" looked like? It's a letter opener.

I still do not know exactly what it was...I know it was something related to what someone would use in an office because it was on the computer desk along with some other desk/office stuff.

If anyone can help me out, I would love to know what this was!

It looks like a small comb, yet it actually has a blade inside it if you look closely up close.

Perhaps a paper cutter...>?

They have a cat that throws up food all random places in the house...when my charge first started crawling he ate some of it before I got to him...
