I've heard of parents who advertise "competitive" rates, but don't, OP. So it's better to be upfront with your numbers. What range are you offering?

At the very least you need to be open & honest about it and insist on a trial period. A lot of nannies would not want to deal with this or be a good personality fit for it.

Not a nanny but, obviously, you must do so. You also better be prepared to pay a premium.
