All in all I get paid for 4 hours of work (30 minutes of that is 'extra' to cover gas, I only have the kids for 3.5 hours) at $30 an hour. I get taxes and everything withheld and get the exact same paycheck every week even when they come home early. Any overtime is paid in cash, no withholdings, at the same rate.
Whoa--you make $600/week before taxes are withheld for 17.5 hrs of work plus the $75 that goes towards gas? Do you have another job in addition to this?
Yes, I also work in the mornings getting a different set of kids up and to school. But it's only 2.5 hours at $20 an hour. Honestly they are the same amount of work hour per hour, but different families with different budgets. I adore them both.
Also the gas thing is really just the way I think of it, its really that they start my time 30 minutes early because they expected me to drive to their home to pick up their other car to get the kids, but since I have a large car I just use my own, so I leave my house later and just consider that 30 minute bump as covering my gas. Hope that makes sense.
