It's not on the same level as an iPad, but a charge once tore and completely ruined a favourite dress of mine, and my MB got me a similar dress a few days later. It was unexpected and absolutely wonderful of her.
I think this is a bit different because you have to wear clothes on the job. You don't have to have your expensive caseless iPad on a shelf in the playroom next to something the kids are jumping on. Similarly though, I probably wouldn't wear my favorite or expensive anything to watch kids all day.
