For as child to stay dry all night the body must make a chemical to tell it to do so.... If the brain doesn't make the chemical the child will not nbe able to get through the night dry. Some children are super deep sleepers and this plays a role in being dry at night.

In some countries (not sure about the USA) it is not considered to be Abnormal for a child to stay dry at night till 7 years old. It is only once they reach 7 that Dr's will start to intervene. For super deep sleepers this is in the form of a mat this is attached to a bell/alarm. The matt goes under the sheets and when it gets wet the alarm rings. This trains the body (through pavlovian conditioning) that when you start to wee you wake up. I sat for a family where two of three kids needed this and the mother said for the first few days the alarm would be going and everyone would be awake except the child!

It can take more time for some kids than others

You sound like a horrible nanny if you don't even communicate enough with the parents to let them know their kid is potty trained. I also think you're full of shit since most parents would notice you aren't using diapers or pull ups and they don't have to buy as many.

+1. We are in the process of potty training DS and the nanny and I communicate about it every day. Sometimes he will go for her on the potty and not for me and vice versa. That's normal and it seems weird and very judgmental of you not to be aware of that.
